Kiran Kumar’s Third Covid-19 Report Tests Negative, Here’s How He Dealt with Quarantine

Yeh Corona Toh Kissi Ko Bhi Hai Hona! Despite taking all precautions, veteran actor Kiran Kumar, known for Khuda Gawah, Tezaab, and Mujhse Dosti Karoge, had tested positive for Covid-19 on May 14.

However, he was asymptomatic – no fever, cough or anything. Nevertheless, he immediately took to self-quarantine. Fortunately, on Wednesday, 27 May 2020, the report of his third test came out to be negative!

Talking about his quarantine experience – Kiran Kumar says he approached isolation with optimism instead of panicking. After having gained proper information from doctors in Hinduja Khar and Lilavati, he immediately informed the BMC of his situation.

He self-isolated on a separate third floor while his family quarantined on the second floor of the building. He also made sure the family’s vitamin intake was boosted.

To ensure zero contact, he would ask for his food to be kept on the staircase in disposable plates. He would also clean the room and make the bed all by himself.

To keep himself entertained, he caught up on reading long-forgotten books, especially Asimov, and indulged in bingeing on sci-fi content like Star Trek and Star Wars, along with Hindi movies.

Separate in space but not in heart – his children made sure he was well-attended to while his sister pampered him by cooking his favourite dishes! He was also grateful to his staff for being supportive like a family, instead of abandoning him in the time of need.

His main take away from quarantining is that,“There’s nothing to fear but fear itself!”

For him, this forced time-out served as an opportunity to introspect and focus on the smaller pleasures of life.

Better safe than sorry, his family is still under strict isolation!

In other news, as of 28 May, Maharashtra has 54,758 confirmed Coronavirus cases and the death toll has hit a count of 1,792.
