1. Dangal (2016)

2. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017)

The question “Who killed Baahubali?” broke the internet in 2015 as the prequel ended with a shocking cliffhanger. This historical drama ruled the theatres long after the release as well.

Directed by S. S. Rajamouli, the sequel shows the story of Baahubali’s son, Mahendra Baahubali who wages war and get back his father’s kingdom.

The film made a worldwide gross capital of ₹1,810 crores.

3. Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)

The Salman Khan starrer directed by Kabir Khan shows us how a devotee of the Hindu God-Lord Hanumaan helps a young speech impaired girl lost in the state of Haryana. Hailing from Pakistan, the pair along with a reporter go all the way to the Indo-Pak borders to send her home safely.

4. Secret Superstar (2017)

A film based on how a young music fanatic thrives as an online music sensation despite facing uncountable problems thrown at her via her conservative father. Irrespective of the hurdles, she follows her passion.

The film directed by Advait Chandan made a worldwide gross capital of ₹966.86 crores.

5. PK (2014)

This film is a genius satirical drama directed by Rajkumar Hirani that depicts the life of a very naive extra terrestrial who looks extremely human like. On a weird but fun journey to find his lost communication device, he meets Jaggu and falls in love.

6. 2.0 (2018)

World famous Chitti the robot is one action filled movie that never gets old. Meet Chitti 2.0, where he tries defeating Pakshi Rajan, a dead ornithologist named Pakshi Rajan. Directed by S. Shankar, the movie stars Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson and of course none other than the famous Rajnikanth.

7. Baahubali: The Beginning (2015)

Shivudu, a Prince by birth, finds himself falling in love with a beautiful warrior but he also finds himself unraveling secrets about his birth parents and the kingdom of Mahishmati. Directed by S. S. Rajamouli, Baahubali was indeed just the beginning as it wsa succeeded by an even bigger hit, Baahubali: The Conclusion.

8. Sultan (2016)

Sultan, a directorial of Ali Abbas Zafar, tells us the story of a middle aged wrestler who gives up the sport post the death of his newborn son. In his earlier days, he falls in love with a wrestling champion Aarfa, whom he marries. After the death of his son, she leaves him as an olympic winner but a miserable man.
