Movies in which Sushant Singh Rajput was the first choice.

Sushant Singh Rajput has left his fellows and fans in sheer sadness as he left us for his heavenly abode on June, 14th. The artist in him will always be celebrated through the multiple movies that he did. However, there were certain movies in which this actor was replaced by other actors due to his tight schedules or prior commitments. Find below a list of such movies:

1- Befikre

The Befikre director wanted to cast Sushant Singh Rajput opposite Vaani Kapoor but later believed that Ranveer Singh would be a better suit for the role.

2- Half Girlfriend

Chetan Bhagat’s first choice for the movie Half Girlfriend was Sushant Singh Rajput but he had to drop out of this film because of scheduling conflicts with his other projects. After this, Arjun Kapoor was approached for the role.

3- Fitoor

Abhishek Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput have done some great movies together and Abhishek Kapoor wanted Sushant Singh Rajput to star in Fitoor but unfortunately Sushant had to turn down the film due to his busy schedule and had no regrets for doing the same. Later, Aditya Roy Kapoor took the lead in the movie.

4- Goliyon Ki Rasleela – Ram Leela

Sanjay Leela Bhansali had initially offered the role of Ram to Sushant Singh Rajput but he was already in a contract with YRF and therefore could not get on board with Ram Leela and later Ranveer Singh aced the role.

5- Kabir Singh

Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the first choices for Kabir Singh but Sushant Singh Rajput turned down the movie for some personal reasons and Shahid Kapoor took over with his brilliant performance.

Our beloved actor Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14th, 2020 and left us in pain. The death of Sushant has created a buzz over nepotism and several starkids have been facing backlash because of it. The reason behind Sushant Singh’s depression is still under investigation.
