Now Swara Bhaskar Comes in Support of Karan Johar in Nepotism Controversy

Actress Swara Bhasker has always had a way with words (and tweets) in expressing her thoughts on multiple Bollywood tales. Now, Swara has made her support towards Karan Johar publicly known over the already in-flames nepotism debate.

A video of Karan Johar and Swara Bhasker in conversation has surfaced the internet where Bhasker asks Johar on how star kids are launched and if it was an internal decision. “Is that a concious decision or is that something that just happens on its own?” Swara asks Karan.

To the public’s reaction to this video, Swara stood in support of Karan and sent out the following tweets in appreciation of the filmmaker being honest.

To the above question, KJo very naturalls says, “I’ve launched two kids from the movies – Varun and Alia, and none of those are results of nepotism for me. To the naked eye, it looks like these guys are clicked, groomed, they know each others’ aunts, sons, nephews, and it’s easy for them to work with each other.’ But it wasn’t the case for me.

When I was making for Student Of The Year, I had two assistant boys. One happened to be David Dhawan’s son, who came to me because his mom had called me because he wanted to be an assistant not an actor and Sidharth Malhotra walked into the office to meet Karan Malhotra. The only reason Karan took him as an AD because of the same last name.”

“With Alia, I had no connection with Mahesh Bhatt. In fact, for the longest time, I had an issue with Mahesh Bhatt and I didn’t even know he had a daughter…”

Swara Bhasker is now giving fans a treat with her new Amazon Prime series Rasbhari.
