Recently, her interviews explaining her side of the story went viral. However, SSR’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti tweeted one excerpt of the interview, slamming Rhea over her ‘expensive lawyer’.
In the video, Rhea can be seen talking about her Khar property worth Rs 72 lakh for which she took a bank loan of 50 lakhs and is simultaneously paying Rs 17k every month as EMI. She can be seen worrying about paying her EMI, claiming that the case has derailed her life.
Sushant’s sister questioned how Rhea was able to afford an expensive lawyer like Satish Maneshinde. She wrote in her tweet – “You are worried about how you will be paying 17,000 in EMI, please tell me how are you paying the most expensive lawyer of India you have hired?? #RheaTheLiar”
Satish Maneshinde is one of the top-notch criminal lawyers in India, famous for high-profile cases of Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan.
Meanwhile, on Friday in a statement to ANI, Rhea’s lawyer Maneshinde had rubbished the speculation that he was rendering his services for free.
He said – “What Rhea said in her interview (to the media) was only that I didn’t raise bills in her case and whatever people are saying that I approached her for this case and offered my services for free is not true. Fees is a matter between me and my client.”
