Showik-Zaid-Samuel Miranda Link in SSR Case

According to India Today, on March 17, Showik Chakraborty shared Zaid Vilatra’s contact number with Samuel Miranda and asked him to pay Zaid Rs 10,000 for 5g of drugs. Samuel Miranda then contacted Zaid for the first time. Before Samuel contacted Zaid, the drug peddler talked to Basit Parihar on a phone call. As per the NCB investigations, Samuel had collected drugs for Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty in March 2020.

As per Deccan Chronicle, Zaid came under the scanner after the agency arrested two people, Abbas Lakhani and Karan Arora, in another narcotics case on August 27-28 in Mumbai and recovered a bud consignment from them.

As per Times Now,  the NCB revealed that the two arrested drug peddlers, Karan and Abbas, have named a few people who control the drug cartel that supplies narcotic substances to Bollywood.

Earlier, Shruti Modi’s lawyer had named Imtiaz Khatri, the son of an influential and politically connected builder in Mumbai, for supplying drugs.

The Times Now report also stated that NCB had said in their disclosure that Samuel Miranda and Rhea Chakraborty were ‘working in close coordination’ and were using ‘fund of SSR for their own purpose’ and the debit card pin was obtained through Miranda.

The document also stated – “The WhatsApp conversation has further revealed that RC (Rhea Chakraborty) was indulging in usage and procurement of narcotics substance namely weed (Marijuana/ Cannabis/ CBD, etc) illegally since 2017.”
