Sandip Singh Shares Chats with Mitu Singh & Sushant; Rubbishes Allegations

Producer Sandip Singh had come under the scanner in SSR Case, with public and media levelling various accusations against him. SSR’s family had also said that they didn’t know him.

Sandip Singh recently addressed the allegations and controversies against him; sharing Whatsapp chats with Sushant and his family, and also cleared the air about Mauritius case.

Sandip Singh addressed the allegations against him

Mitu Singh-Sandip Singh Chats

Sandip Singh revealed his chats with Mitu Singh to explain why he called Ambulance Driver twice. He clarified that he was given the responsibility of clearing his payment by Sushant’s Sister. He also helped her in arranging the Death certificate.

“Everyone is saying that your family does not know me. Yes, it’s correct, I never met your family. Is it my fault to help a grieving sister alone in this city to complete the final rites of a brother? Just want to end the speculation why I was talking to the ambulance driver despite his statement.”

Sandip-Sushant Chats

Sandip also shared screenshots of his chats with Sushant to quash media speculation.

“Sorry bhai, my silence has broken 20 years of my image and family into pieces. I was unaware that friendship requires a certificate in today’s time. Today I am making our personal chats public, as this is the last resort which proves our equation.”

He also opened up about the day of Sushant’s demise – “On 14th June when I heard about you I was unable to stop myself and I rushed to your house in grief but was shocked to see no one present except Mittu Didi. I am still thinking whether I was wrong to stand by your sister in that critical time or I should have waited for your other friends to come.”

Mauritius Case

He also rubbished the allegations of a sexual assault case in Mauritius; of Sandip befriending a minor boy from Switzerland & forcing him into a sexual act. The filmmaker shared a clearance letter from June 2018 by the officials of Port Louis, Mauritius to prove his innocence.

Thumbs Up Gesture & CBI Inquiry

Sandip also cleared the air about his thumbs gesture, which had come under close public scrutiny.

“When I reached Cooper Hospital with Mitu didi (Sushant Singh’s sister), a constable asked – who is Sandip? To which, instead of shouting, I showed thumbs up to tell that I was the person. What was wrong in that? Should I have cared about my gesture at that time?”

Talking about the CBI Inquiry, he said – “CBI team (investigating Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case) called me & asked about sequence of event on June 14 & 15. I told him everything I knew. Everyone wanted CBI enquiry which happened. Now, people want to decide who is accused. We should have little patience.”

Allegations of Fleeing Country

In an exclusive interview with TOI, Sandip Singh also commented on speculations of him planning to flee the country.

“Am I some most wanted criminal, some sort of a fugitive that I will run away from here? I have given 20 years to this industry. I have studied in a Hindi medium school, I have sold ice-creams before becoming a journalist, a company CEO and eventually, an independent producer. Mira Road mein raha, CEO ki naukri ki to learn filmmaking because I did not have the resources to go and formally learn it. Uske baad, I have worked on my own and started my company and made four modest films on my own steam. Should I let it all go? Why should I? Why should I flee the country? I stood with my friend’s family, unlike others who chose to stay indoors. That is not a crime!

Disha Salian

On being linked to Disha Salian, Sandip Singh said – “My last chat with her happened in 2017. She had come to my office – as a cornerstone employee – to discuss a project for an actor she was representing. The meeting was coordinated by my office staff. Then, I heard she has died by suicide on June 9. That is all.”

“My last chat with her happened in 2017. She had come to my office – as a cornerstone employee – to discuss a project for an actor she was representing.”

The producer concluded by saying that he will be taking legal action against baseless allegations – “I feel like I’m facing a trial. I have spoken the truth, and I am still answering allegations which are baseless, levelled by people who seek publicity. I will definitely take legal action against those people who have troubled me for no reason.”

“Today, I do feel that maybe going and standing with the family was wrong. Maybe, I should have acted selfish and not gone there to stand with them in their time of need.”
