Varun Dhawan’s ‘Coolie No. 1’, Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Chhalaang’ & Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Durgavati’ To Premiere on Amazon Prime Video on THESE Dates!

Looks like even if the theatres are being allowed to reopen on October 15, makers have decided to opt for the safer bet of digital releases for now.

These Hindi films will now be premiering directly on Amazon Prime Video from October to December. Check out their release dates!

1) Coolie No.1 

The Varun Dhawan-Sara Ali Khan starrer Coolie No. 1 will be getting a Christmas 2020 premiere on Amazon Prime. It’s Director David Dhawan’s 45th film and a remake of his 1995 film which starred Govinda in the lead. Featuring Varun in a double role, the comedy also stars Paresh Rawal, Jaaved Jaaferi, Rajpal Yadav and Johnny Lever.

2) Durgavati

The Bhumi Pednekar starrer Durgavati is the Hindi remake of Telugu horror film Bhaagamathie. It tells the story of an innocent government officer who is made the victim of a major conspiracy involving powerful forces. The film is directed Ashok and presented by Akshay Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. It will premiere on 11 December 2020.

3) Chhalaang

Rajkummar Rao-Nushrat Bharucha’s Chhalaang will get a Diwali 2020 release, on November 13. Directed by Hansal Mehta, it is a social black comedy film which shows the hilarious yet inspiring story of a PT master from a semi-government funded school in northern India. It earlier had the title “Turram Khan”.

Along with these Hindi titles, Amazon Prime Video will also be directly releasing the Madhavan-led Tamil-language romantic drama Maara (December 17), the Telugu-language romantic drama Middle-Class Melodies (November 20) with Anand Devarakonda, the Kannada-language Bheema Sena Nalamaharaja (October 29), and the Kannada-language horror thriller Manne Number 13 (November 19).

The Malayalam-language comedy Halal Love Story (October 15) with Parvathy and Joju George, and Suriya-led Tamil-language action drama Soorarai Pottru (October 30) are also scheduled for Amazon Prime Premiere.
