The talented and versatile Rajkummar Rao will next be seen Anurag Basu’s Ludo, which is a Diwali Netflix offering!

He is reuniting with Bareilly Ki Barfi co-star Kriti Sanon for a crazy comedy titled, ‘Hum Do Humare Do’. From comedy, remake to thriller, here’s his project pipeline:

Comedy, remake, thriller, Rajkummar is doing it all!

1) Hum Do Humare Do

As reported by Pinkvilla, this film was rumoured to be titled Second Innings first. However, Hum Do Humare Do has been locked as the title.

It will have Rajkummar and Kriti playing orphans who adopt parents. Paresh Rawal and Dimple Kapadia will be seen as the older couple who end up wreaking havoc.

“It revolves around a married couple who decide to adopt parents and how they together create havoc in their otherwise blissful marriage is what the crazy comedy is about. While Second Innings did sound catchy, the makers wanted a more suitable title for the film’s novel idea. They are calling the film Hum Do Humare Do.”

Both Kriti and Rajkummar have flown off to Chandigarh to commence shooting for the same.

2) Roohi Afzana

As per Mumbai Mirror report, Rajkummar has wrapped up the shooting of Hardik Mehta’s horror-comedy, which is a part of the Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Stree universe.

Along with Rao, Roohi Afzana’s cast includes Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma in important roles. It is a horror story based on a ghost who abducts brides on their honeymoon.

3) Badhaai Do

Rajkummar along with Bhumi Pednekar has been roped in for the Badhaai Ho sequel, Badhaai Do.

Rajkummar will essay the role of a Delhi cop, the only male cop in a mahila thana (woman police station), while Bhumi will play the role of a school PT teacher, who aspires to represent Team India in handball.

“That film is currently in prep, and for now, Raj is following a 60-day per film policy,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.

4) Chupke Chupke

Rajkummar will also be seen in the remake of the 1975 cult classic – Chupke Chupke. He is essaying Dharmendra’s role from the original.

The source told Mumbai Mirror,  “The script is undergoing some rewrites as the makers are determined to do justice to the original. They are also in talks with several actors for the role of Sukumar, professor of English masquerading as Parimal and trying to teach botany, enacted by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. The cast should be locked by December.”

The film will go on the floors by March 2021.

5) Thriller Franchise – Remake of Telugu film HIT

Rao will be next seen in an investigative thriller franchise, the first film being the Hindi remake of Telugu cop drama HIT.

HIT’s plot revolves around a cop who is tracing a missing woman. Rajkummar will be playing the cop.

“It’s currently being adapted and they are hoping to roll by April end or early May with a start-to-finish schedule, calling it a wrap by the end of June,” the source revealed to Mumbai Mirror.
