Sunny Singh To Play ‘Laxman’ In Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’?

Om Raut’s mythological drama ‘Adipurush’ has been the talk-of-the-town since its announcement.

The makers have officially announced that Prabhas will be seen as Adipurush (Lord Ram) and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh (Ravana) in this magnum opus.

After entertaining fans with ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, actor Sunny Singh will be seen in a completely different avatar in ‘Adipurush’. Sunny will play the role of ‘Laxman’, Prabhas’s brother onscreen.

According to ETimes, Om Raut has roped in Sunny to play the character of Laxman.“Sunny Singh has been approached to essay the character of Laxman, brother to Prabhas for ‘AdiPurush’ which also marks one of the most prominent roles in the film,” the source revealed.

The source further added, “If all goes well, one can expect Sunny Singh in a completely different avatar and character on-screen. Sharing screen space with Prabhas is going to be a brilliant opportunity worth grabbing for Sunny.” 

Reportedly, Sunny has already started the physical and language training for ‘Adipurush’.

In the Puranas, Laxman is described as an incarnation of Sheshanaga, the multiple-headed naag upon whom rests the god Vishnu, whose avatar Ram is considered. He served Ram and Sita reverently during their 14-years long exile and played a major role in the war with Raavan. 

Kriti will be seen as ‘Sita’, whereas Angad as ‘Meghnad’

It has already been reported that Kriti Sanon has bagged the role of ‘Sita’ and Angad Bedi will be seen as ‘Meghnad’.

‘Adipurush’ will go on floors in 2021. The movie has been scheduled to release in over 5 languages on 11th August 2021.
