After wrapping up Jersey, Shahid Kapoor was all set to kick ass in Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Yoddha’.
Bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, this actioner had Kapoor romancing the hottie Disha Patani!
However, looks like all is not well with the project. Well, it was never officially announced that Shahid would be headlining Yoddha. And looks like the makers and the actor were at loggerheads over some creative differences which led to the latter walking out! The team also reportedly felt Shahid has become ‘picky’ after the success of Kabir Singh.
Now, will Karan convince Shahid to stay or look for his replacement… that’s the question.
A source told Bollywood Hungama – “Shahid and the team were having a lot of creative differences over the script. Many feel that Shahid has become extremely brash and arrogant after the success of Kabir Singh. He is currently very picky about what he wants to do. Plus, he had been dilly dallying on his dates for a while.
He had not signed on the dotted line, which is also why KJo could not make the official announcement about the same. But now, it’s almost certain that he’s no longer doing the film anymore. Now, it needs to be seen if Karan and Shashank get back to convincing him and adhere to his demands or they look for a new actor to star in the film.”
Meanwhile, Shahid will be making his OTT debut in Raj and DK’s web series and has reportedly switched his ‘Yoddha’ dates over to them. The series has been planned as trilogy and Vijay Setupathi has also joined the cast.
