There have been instances when Hollywood fell in love with Bollywood tracks and used them in their movies.

1. Chaiyya Chaiyya (Dil Se)- Inside Man

Not once, but twice Shah Rukh Khan- Maliaka Arora’s this foot-tapping song was used in Denzel Washington & Clive Owen starrer ‘Inside Man’. The original version was played during the opening credits, while the remix version Chaiyya Chaiyya Bollywood Joint ft. Panjabi MC was played during the closing ones.

2. Mundian Tu Bach Ke Rahi (Punjabi MC)- The Dictator

The makers of the controversial movie ‘The Dictator’ decided to use the hip hop version of Punjabi MC’s ‘Mundiya Tu Bachke Rahi’ in their trailer, which was released worldwide. 

3. Mera Joota Hain Japani (Shree 420)- Deadpool

Ryan Reynolds starrer superhero movie ‘Deadpool’ features one of the most iconic Bollywood songs ‘Mera joota hai Japani’ from the film ‘Shree 420’ (1955). This song is played on the radio as Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) conversed with the taxi driver Dopinder (Karan Soni).

4. Yuhi Chala Chal Rahi (Swadesh)- Deadpool 2

After the ever-green song in ‘Deadpool’, the second part also features another Bollywood track. SRK‘s song ‘Yuhi Chala Chal Rahi’ is playing on Dopinder’s stereo when the Indian cabbie is driving Deadpool, Cable, and Domino to a destination.

5. Rang De (Thakshak)- The Accidental Husband

Again, AR Rahman’s Hindi songs have been used in Hollywood. The 2008 Uma Thurman-Colin Firth-JeffreyDean Morgan film, ‘The Accidental Husband’ featured Rahman’s song ‘Mujhe Rang De’ from ‘Thakshak’

6. Bombay Theme- Lord of War

AR Rahman’s melodious Bombay theme, which he composed for ‘Bombay’, was used in the American crime-drama movie ‘Lord of War’.

7. Jaan Pehchaan Ho (Gumnaam)- Ghost World

The Scarlett Johansson starrer ‘Ghost World’ featured both the audio & video of Mohammed Rafi’s song ‘Jaan Pehchaan Ho’ from ‘Gumnaam’.

8. Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba (Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki)- Guardians of The Galaxy Vol 2

In the trailer of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’, released by IndiaMarvel, the makers played the 1980’s hit song ‘Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba’ in the background.

9. Mera Mann Tera Pyasa (Gambler)- Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind

Mohammad Rafi’s song ‘Mera Mann Tera Pyasa’ featured in the scene, where Joel and Clementine (played by Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet) are in the living room, while she announces that she is going to marry him one day. 

10. Chamma Chamma (China Gate)- Moulin Rogue

The catchy track Chamma Chamma from the movie ‘China Gate’ featured in the Nicole Kidman-Ewan McGregor starrer ‘Moulin Rouge’.
