If you come from a hardcore Indian family, you know what we’re talking about when we say everyone has certain superstitions to follow!

Looks like our celebs aren’t that different. Check out these 7 Bollywood superstars who follow superstitions of their own.

1. Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone has one particular belief that she chooses to follow before the release of her films. The actress visits the famous Siddhivinayak Temple prior to her films’ releases because she considers the gesture lucky.

2. Salman Khan

Pretty sure all of us, Bollywood fanatic, know this belief followed by Salman Khan. Khan wears his Sapphire bracelet everywhere. Yes, EVERYWHERE! The bracelet was gifted to him by his father Salim Khan and the actor believes it to bring him good luck.

3. Akshay Kumar

Action hero Akshay Kumar has a superstition where he believes that it is a must for him to fly abroad before the release of his film. As per him, staying abroad for a little while will not affect his box office collections.

4. Sonam Kapoor

Did you know Sonam Kapoor believes that she needs to be seated whenever she’s dubbing for a film? Well, now you know. Sonam strongly considers her films to do better if she’s dubbing them while sitting.

5. Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan has specifications when it comes to his vehicles! This superstar considers the number ‘555’ lucky for him. King Khan makes sure his cars have ‘555’ on their number plates.

6. Bipasha Basu

Like most of us, Bipasha Basu has been following a pretty common tradition – the ‘neembu mirchi’. Basu uses the lemon and chilli thread which is said to ward off evil spirits and evil eyes (or as we say it, nazar).

7. Ranbir Kapoor

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor also follows one superstition and has done so for a long time now. Kapoor makes sure all his cars have the number ‘8’ on their number plates. ‘8’ also is his mother, Neetu Singh’s birth date which Ranbir has donned lucky for himself.

8. Aamir Khan

Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist aka Aamir Khan was given the former nickname for a pretty good reason. In case you haven’t noticed, Aamir makes sure his films release in the month of December specifically. This star considers that particular month to be auspicious.
