Yash Raj Films announced the confirmed theatrical release dates of the production house’s upcoming movies.
1. Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar- 19th March
Initially scheduled to release in 2020, this Dibakar Banerjee directorial got postponed due to COvid-19. This black-comedy movie, starring Arjun Kapoor & Parineeti Chopra in lead roles, will now hit the theatres on March 19.
2. Bunty Aur Babli 2- 23rd April
‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’, the highly-anticipated sequel of the hit 2005 film, is now slated to release on silver screens on 23rd April. Directed by Varun V. Sharma, the sequel stars Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Sharvari Wagh.
3. Shamshera- 25th June
After the promotional song of ‘Sanju’, Sanjay Dutt & Ranbir Kapoor have shared the screen space in the feature film ‘Shamshera’ for the first time ever. Set in the 1800s, this period-action-drama features Vaani Kapoor as the female lead. This Karan Malhotra director will be releasing in theatres on 25th June.
4. Jayeshbhai Jordaar- 27th August
Directed by the debutant Divyang Thakkar, this social comedy, starring Ranveer Singh & Shalini Pandey, in the lead has been scheduled for a theatrical release on August 27. The south-Indian actress Shalini will make her Bollywood debut with this YRF movie.
5. Prithviraj- 5th November (Diwali Release)
Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar will be making her big-ticket Bollywood debut with the historical action drama ‘Prithviraj’, opposite Akshay Kumar. Based on the life of Prithviraj Chauhan, this Chandraprakash Dwivedi directorial is all set to have a theatrical release on November 5 (Diwali release).
