Big B & Akshay Kumar in trouble?

According to NDTV, today, Maharashtra Congress stood against the B-Town celebs, who once criticized the Central govt over the increasing fuel prices but now chose to be silent when the prices are even higher than before.

Not only that, the State Party chief Nana Patole has threatened to stop the movie shoots of Bollywood celebs, including Amitabh Bachchan & Akshay Kumar.

Check out Big B’s earlier tweet over rising fuel prices:

Rising fuel prices have hit common people’s homes. During the Manmohan Singh government people like Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar used to tweet (about fuel prices). Today they are silent,” Nana Patole stated.

He also went on asking if they have the courage to speak against “the dictatorial Modi government” or not.

“In Maharashtra, we will not allow the shooting of films involving Amitabh Bachchan or Akshay Kumar. Either you speak up against the anti-national policies of the Narendra Modi government or we will stop your movies’ shooting,” he added.

According to reports, in Mumbai, petrol now costs ₹96.32 per litre and diesel ₹87.32. The prices of branded or additive-laced petrol, which attracts higher taxes, have apparently crossed the ₹100-mark in some places, including Maharashtra.

However, BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has come out in support of the B-Town stars right after the “threat” issued by the ruling party of the state.

BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar

Since their office is on Akbar Road, they will walk only Akbar’s path. Amitabh Bachchan isn’t going to be worried about their threats. He had faced similar threats from Gabbar Singh in the movie Sholay,” state BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar stated.

He also said that despite wearing the mask of democracy, Congress’s soul was dictatorial.

“Is tweeting in favour of India a crime?” BJP’s Ram Kadam was reportedly seen asking in a video.

“Some people sitting abroad are tarnishing India’s image and the Congress is supporting them,” he added.
