SSR Drugs Case: “We Will Have The Last Laugh”- Says Rhea’s Lawyer On NCB’s CHARGE SHEET Accusing The Actress, Her Brother & 31 Others!

Last year, actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death news came as a shock to everyone.

During the investigation of the late actor’s sudden death case, the Bollywood drug nexus came into the light.

Actress Rhea Chakraborty, the late actor SSR’s then-girlfriend, along with her brother Showik, was arrested by the Narcotics Bureau Control (NCB) in connection with the alleged drug case.

However, yesterday, as per Bollywood Hungama, NCB filed a charge sheet of over 12,000 pages against 33 people, including Rhea and her brother, under Section 27A of the NDPS Act (minimum of 10 years of imprisonment with the maximum number of years being 20).

According to reports, the hard copy of the charge sheet has over 12,000 pages, while the digital version has 50,000.

As reported by The Economic Times, the charge sheet reportedly accused Rhea of being part of a “drug syndicate” and claimed she was part of a conspiracy to procure and supply drugs.

Meanwhile, according to the latest Spotboye report, Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has reacted to the NCB’s charge sheet and apparently called it a “damp squib”.

“All efforts of NCB have been directed towards Rhea Chakraborty to somehow rope her in. The entire amount of ‘narcotic substances recovered’ against 33 accused are nothing compared to what even a constable in Mumbai Police or Narcotics Cell or the Airport Customs or other agencies recover from one raid or trap. The entire NCB from top to bottom was engaged in unearthing drug angle in Bollywood,” the advocate stated.

“Either the allegations were false or only God knows the truth. The charge sheet is a damp squib standing on the foundation of Inadmissible Evidence and Statements recorded under section 67 of the NDPS Act even after the Supreme Court Judgement in Toofan Singh Judgement,” he further added.

As per the report, advocate Satish also said without Rhea Chakraborty being charged, this case has “no substance”.

“We will have the last laugh. Satyameva Jayate,” he concluded.
