1. Taapsee Pannu

Did you know Taapsee worked as a software engineer for about six months before foraying into movies? She studied engineering in computer science at the Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology. while she was working, Taapsee reportedly auditioned for Channel V’s talent show Get Gorgeous, which paved the way for her acting career.

2. Parineeti Chopra

As per an HT report, Parineeti moved to London, when she was 17, and graduated with triple honours in business, finance, and economics from Manchester Business School. Before starting her career as an actor, Parineeti worked as a public relations consultant with Yash Raj Studio, where she applied for an internship in the marketing department.

3. Ayushmann Khurrana  

The versatile Ayushmann Khurrana started off his career as a Radio Jockey, then became a VJ and eventually a popular host. According to reports, the Vicky Donor actor did his schooling at St. John’s High School and went to DAV College in Chandigarh. He majored in English literature and has a master’s degree in Mass Communication from the School of Communication Studies, Panjab University.

4. Ranveer Singh

Just like Ranveer, we also knew that he is truly meant for Bollywood. Many of you don’t know Ranveer Singh completed his studies from H R College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai and further pursued his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. Before his big break in Band Baaja Baarat (2007), Ranveer worked as a copywriter and has worked with renowned ad agencies like O&M and JWT.

5. Vicky Kaushal   

This handsome hunk graduated as an electronics and telecommunications engineer, post which he also received many job offers from reputed firms during his campus placement. The Uri actor refused it all as he wanted to become an actor. So, he began to pursue his career in acting and started doing theatre.

6. John Abraham

If reports are to be believed, after getting a Master’s degree in Management Sciences from Mumbai Educational trust, John Abraham reportedly worked as a media planner for an advertising agency. He also started modelling at the same time, which put him on the filmmakers’ radar.

7. Sayani Gupta

As per an HT report, Sayani Gupta, who was recently seen in Pagglait, used to work at an infrastructure research firm Indian Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd in New Delhi, where she dabbled in marketing and sales too. In order to follow her passion, Sayani quit her job and took admission to The Film and Television Institute of India. In 2011 September she moved to Mumbai and bagged her first role in Margarita with a Straw.
