And now, if this Pinkvilla report is to be believed, Sunny Deol will also feature in the Hindi remake of the popular Malayalam crime-thriller movie ‘Joseph’. The film will reportedly be produced by Kamal Mukut.

Directed by M Padmakumar, who helmed the original as well, Sunny will reportedly play the role of a retired police officer (played by Joju George) in this yet-to-be-titled Hindi adaptation. The film is said to be currently in the pre-production stage.

Sunny to star in the Hindi remake of ‘Joseph’

“Sunny Deol is looking to switch gears by signing on for some strong content-driven films and is more inclined towards the thriller space. When Kamal Mukut approached him to feature in the remake of Joseph, he watched the film and was bowled over by the film. He only had one request and that is to keep the film as gritty and real, as the Malayalam original,” a source revealed to the portal.

The Malayalam original starred Joju George, Dileesh Pothan, Athmiya Rajan and Malavika Menon in pivotal roles.
