Previously, Mumbai Police had formed a SET (Special Enquiry Team) to probe the alleged extortion angle after Prabhakar Sail, NCB’s independent witness, alleged that he had overheard a phone conversation about a demand of ₹25 crores from SRK.

According to reports, Prabhakar Sail alleged that some NCB officials, including Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede, had demanded an extortion of Rs 25 crores for letting off accused Aryan Khan, son of actor Shah Rukh Khan.

Reportedly, Mumbai Police has also stated that the investigation has been put on hold until the next order.

Meanwhile, Aryan was recently granted relief from his weekly attendance at the NCB office as a part of his bail conditions.
