With the increasing popularity of OTT platforms, Bollywood actors/actresses are all set to venture into the OTT world soon.
From Madhuri Dixit to Shahid Kapoor – here’s a list of 6 B-Town celebs’ OTT debuts that are worth waiting for in 2022.
1. Ajay Devgn
After ‘Singham’, Ajay Devgn is coming back in his cop avatar for Disney+ Hotstar‘s upcoming web series – ‘Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness’. Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the crime-drama series is said to be the official remake of the popular British show ‘Luther’. The series also stars Rashii Khanna and Esha Deol in pivotal roles.
2. Madhuri Dixit Nene
Madhuri Dixit Nene‘s much-awaited OTT debut series titled ‘Finding Anamika’ will stream on Netflix. Produced by Karan Johar, the thriller show is a family drama about a global superstar, who is also a wife and a mom. She suddenly vanishes as the police and her family search for her.
3. Shahid Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor is making his much-anticipated OTT debut with Raj & DK‘s upcoming web series that will stream on Amazon Prime Video. As per a media report, the action-thriller series has been reportedly titled ‘Fakes’, which is apparently a reworked version of ‘Farzi’ – a script that Shahid had okayed years ago, co-starring Kriti Sanon and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
4. Sonakshi Sinha
Directed by Reema Kagti, Sonakshi Sinha‘s OTT debut series is titled ‘Fallen’. Sonakshi plays the role of a cop named Anjali Bhaati in the cop-drama, which will stream on Amazon Prime Video. The series also stars Gulshan Devaiah, Vijay Varma and others in pivotal roles.
5. Aditya Roy Kapur
Aditya Roy Kapur is making his OTT debut with the Indian version of the mini British series ‘The Night Manager’. The ‘Malang’ actor will reportedly play the the role of Jonathan Pine (originally played by Tom Hiddleston) in the series that is slated to stream on Disney+ Hotstar. Initially, Hrithik Roshan was roped in to essay the said character.
6. Aparshakti Khurana
‘Helmet’ actor Aparshakti Khurana is all set to make his OTT debut in Vikramaditya Motwane‘s upcoming web series ‘Stardust’. The series, which also stars Prosenjit Chatterjee and Aditi Ray Hydari in key roles, is a fictional take on the Indian film industry from 1947 to 1989 and explores the clash between two superstars.
