Kartik Aaryan Accused Of UNPROFESSIONALISM; He Threatened To QUIT ‘Shehzada’ Movie?

Kartik Aaryan will next be seen opposite Kriti Sanon in ‘Shehzada’.

It’s the Hindi remake of Allu Arjun’s ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’. The Hindi-dubbed version of the original was slated to hit the theatres on 26 January 2022 allegedly.

Shehzada is remake of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo

However, Shehzada makers were reportedly worried that the cinema release of the Hindi-dub of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo would affect the business of the Kartik Aaryan-starrer!

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo makers have decided to cancel the theatrical release of the Hindi version after meeting Shehzada producers. The Hindi-dub will instead be premiering on 6th February on Dhinchaak TV.

Amidst these going-ons, Kartik Aaryan has been accused of ‘unprofessional behaviour’ by Producer Manish Shah, who holds the rights to Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’s Hindi version. He said the Shehzada star had threatened to quit the film if the Hindi-dub had a theatrical release.

“The makers of Shehzda were not keen to release the Hindi version in cinemas. Also, Kartik Aaryan said if the movie was released in theatres, he would walk out of the film, which would have caused Shehzada producers a loss of Rs 40 crores. It was extremely unprofessional of him,” Manish told India Today.

Manish further added – “I have known Shehzada producers for 10 years. I cannot have people who are close to me losing Rs 40 crores, so I dropped it. By doing this, I ended up losing Rs 20 crores. I spent Rs 2 crores only on dubbing. I wanted this film to be bigger than Pushpa: The Rise. If I do not release the film I lose money, so now I am releasing it on my channel. I would not have done anything for Kartik Aaryan, I only did this because of Allu Arvind. Why would I do this for a Bollywood hero? I don’t know him.”

Shehzada Release Date:

In Cinemas – 4 November 2022
