Mumbai Court Summons Salman Khan For 2019 Journalist Assault Case!

In 2019, a case was filed by journalist Ashok Pandey against Salman Khan and two of his bodyguards for assault.

A Mumbai court has now called for a hearing of the case for which the actor is summoned for offences under IPC sections 504 and 506 (criminal intimidation).

As per a report, journalist Ashok Pandey had moved to the Andheri metropolitan court in June 2019 seeking registration of an FIR against the three of them. Only after this did the police register an FIR. Salman Khan has been summoned on the 5th of April in connection to this case.

Ashok Pandey and his cameraman were situated inside a car when they spotted Salman riding his bicycle followed by the two bodyguards. When they tried to capture the actor, his bodyguards apparently approached the car and began hitting them. When Salman walked towards them, Pandey alleged that he too thrashed them and they threatened the latter and his cameraman.

“We took out our mobile phones and started shooting. Suddenly, Salman turned around and gestured to his bodyguards. After that bodyguards riding motorcycles approached us. My cameraman was pushed by one of the guards and he even pushed our car with force. We ended up having an argument with them. Salman turned his cycle and came to us. We told him we were from the press. Salman said ‘It doesn’t matter’,” Ashok says.

Their phones were only returned when someone from the journalist’s team began dialling the cops.
