Did you guys know KK never took any professional musical training? He was not a trained classical musician. Even though he visited a music school for a couple of days, but it wasn’t something that he was passionate about so his father didn’t force him.

Talking about it, the late singer had told TOI, “From the beginning, I was able to learn a song by just hearing it, it is something that I’ve been blessed with. I later learned that Kishoreda had never learnt music, so I had even more reasons to not go to a music class.”

Before getting his break in Bollywood, the late singer reportedly lent his voice to over 3000 jingles in 11 different languages.

Sourced from a report, KK used to work in the hotel industry before he moved to Mumbai in 1994 to pursue music. The late singer often credited his wife Jyothy for her support to pursue his dreams

Over the span of his almost 3-decade-long music career, KK has sung several hit songs like Ajab Si (Om Shanti Om), Zara Sa (Jannat), Pal (album – Pal), Alvida (Life In A… Metro), Tu Jo Mila (Bajrangi Bhaijaan) & many more.

Despite being the voice behind such memorable songs, KK had won ONLY one major award in Bollywood. He had received the Best Playback Singer Male in 2009 for the song Khuda Jane (Bachna Ae Haseeno).

KK married his childhood sweetheart, Jyothy Lakshmi Krishna in 1991 before moving to Mumbai. The couple reportedly met when he was in sixth standard.

As per a report, before asking for his ladylove’s in marriage, KK worked as a salesman for three months and then eventually quit the job. His wife and his father convinced him to pursue music and he started working on jingles again.
