Netflix AXES THESE 2 Big Bollywood Films From Upcoming Slate?

Netflix is currently grappling with a subscription crisis; having lost 200k subscribers in the 1st quarter of 2022.

The streaming giant is cutting off mediocre content left and right. As per latest reports, 2 big Bollywood films are being allegedly AXED from the upcoming Netflix slate.

Peeping Moon reported that Abbas-Mustan’s thriller movie, Penthouse is no longer in Netflix’s line-up. Penthouse stars Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal, and Sharman Joshi in lead roles.

Penthouse still

“Penthouse was a keenly-awaited, high-profile project that promised to be a slick and stylish whodunit that would keep the viewers on the edge of their seats. But that hasn’t translated well on screen, and hence Netflix has decided to not premiere it even though they had announced the film amidst much fanfare last March,” a source revealed to the portal.

Another project that is getting the axe is allegedly a horror-comedy from a big production house. The film is looking to release on alternate OTT platforms now.
