Late Satish Kaushik Movies LIST – Directed, Acted & Produced!

Veteran actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away today (March 9) at the age of 66 due to heart attack.

He will always be remembered for his contribution to the Indian cinema not just as an actor, but also as a director, producer, screenwriter… Well, the list can go longer.

In his career in the film industry spanning over 4 decades, late Satish Kaushik achieved major milestones in his life.

Movies List – Satish Kaushik As Actor:

Satish Ji made his acting debut in the cult-classic movie Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro in 1983. He played the role of ‘Ashok Namboodirippad’, the brother of a corrupt contractor in this movie which boasted an ensemble cast of Naseeruddin Shah, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Kapur, Vinod Chopra including others.

He was popularly known for his splendid comic timings and delivered iconic roles as ‘Calender’ in Mr. India, ‘Pappu Pager’ in Deewana Mastana, ‘Chanda Mama’ in Mr. & Mrs. Khiladi, ‘Kashiram’ in Ram Lakhan to name few.

The actor also went on and portrayed diversed roles in films like Calcutta Mail (2003), Udta Punjab (2016), Chhalaang (2019), Sharmaji Namkeen (2022), Thar (2022) and many more.

Satish Kaushik As Director:

Apart from acting, late Satish Kaushik also tried his hands in directing. However, he didn’t find much success during his early attempts as a director. Satish Kaushik made his directorial debut with Sridevi-Anil Kapoor starrer Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja (1993) and went on to directed Prem in 1995. Both the films were major box office failures.

However, his next directorial – Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain (1999), starring Anil Kapoor and Kajol – changed things for him and became a huge hit at the box office. He also helmed films like Tere Naam (2003), Gang of Ghosts (2014), Kaagaz (2021) and others.

Satish Kaushik As Producer:

Satish Kaushik was not only a Jack of all trades, but also a master of all. He had launched his own production company, The Satish Kauhsik Entertainment, in the early 2000s. He backed film ranging across genres like romance, action, thriller and horror, etc. under his banner.

He bankrolled movies like Badhaai Ho Badhaai (2002) Dhol (2007), Bumm Bumm Bole (2010) to name a few.
