As per latest buzz, the said movie is going to be an action-packed heist thriller.

According to reports, two powerful Bollywood actors, Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat are coming together for the first time for a quirky action-packed heist thriller.

Produced by Siddharth Anand (of Pathaan, Fighter fame) under his under his banner Marflix and directed Robbie Grewal (of RAW: Romeo Akhbar Walter fame) the movie will reportedly have a direct-to-digital premiere on Netflix.

As reported by Pinkvilla, Saif-Jaideep’s film is titled Jewel Thief. The movie has nothing to do with 1967 original movie starring the legendary Dev Anand.

“While the film is titled Jewel Thief, it has got nothing to do with the original film starring the legendary Dev Anand. Siddharth Anand had this title registered under his banner and believes that the tile is apt for the subject of this Robbie Grewal directorial.”

As the report further suggests, Jewel Thief is said to be a heist focusing on the battle royale between Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Reportedly, the actors have already wrapped up the shoot. The movie is expected to release on Netflix later this year. The film has been apparently sold to the streaming giant for a whopping amount of Rs 60 crores!

During the promotions for Fighter, Siddhanrth had confirmed a movie with Saif-Jaideep. He had stated,“We are doing a fun action film with Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. It’s a quirky film, and all my energy is directed towards that.”

For the unversed, Jewel Thief marks Saif’s reunion with Sidhharth after 17 years. The duo had previously worked together in rom-coms like Salaam Namaste and Tara Rum Pum.
