Ekta Kapoor’s web series XXX has gotten into a controversial tangle of tabloids as the viewers found a certain inappropriate sex scene extremely offensive.
In the scene, the wife of an Army Officer calls home her out-of-marriage love interest while her husband is away on duty. She then makes him wear her husband’s military fatigue only to rip it off him as the couple indulge in sexual acts.

Sshivani Durga, a contestant of Bigg Boss Season 11, who is a popular occultist and spiritual guru took to Instagram and reacted with what looked like a warning against Ekta Kapoor.
She commented saying, “No apology, No pity
Your downfall begins tonight …. and you will keep falling until you reach your worst period of life soon.”
Hindustani Bhau aka Vikas Phatak filed an FIR against the same on the 1st of June along with releasing a couple of InstagramTV videos where he speaks on behalf of the ‘aam aadmi’ as he calls it.
In the most recent IGTV live posted on the 4th of June, Hindustani Bhau states that Ekta Kapoor has been having technical support in deleting posts against her and striking people off online.
“Ye abhi kya kar rahe hai malum? Hindustan ke janta jo aavaz utha rahi hai, unke post delete karwa rahi hai, strike maar rahi hai, aisa kar rahe hai. Toh iska matlab kya aavaz bandh hojaegi?”
He also taunts the director saying, “Ek ko toh haath lagayiye. Fir is Mumbai me tandav hoga.” This translates to, ‘Try to lay your hands on one person. A riot is going to take place in Mumbai.’
Vikas Phatak also comments on Politicians. He questions them on the absence of their support towards the Indian army. He points out that if there is no contribution from the political wing then the citizens (aam aadmi) will provide justice.
“Kaha Hai Who Neta Or Abhineta. Koi Nahi Dikh Raha Hai.
Indian Army Ko Insaf Ki Dene Ki Baat Aayi To Saare Gayab Ho Gaye. Magar Ye Aam Insaan Insaf Dilayega Indian Army Ko.”
The Chairman of Martyrs Welfare Foundation (MWF), Dr. T C Rao, a former Major in the Indian Army has also taken up this case as he says the content is extremely disturbing.
An FIR was filed in Palam Vihar Police station against Ekta Kapoor for the content on the series.
In a Facebook post by Dr. TC Rao, he captioned the complaint letter saying, “Army Colonel Rank Officer has been shown in a very insulting condition.
His uniform is Fadi, with ashoka pillar and a crown. An application has been given against it today. There are many more things that are absolutely insulting.
The character is insulting. What is so ugly is the kind of mockery made out of a patriotic man’s family.”
The series first streamed on the 8th of February on the OTT platform ALT Balaji. The complaints have been filed and the case is said to be under investigation.
