The 16 year old Tik Tok sensation Siya Kakkar who died by suicide on June 25, resided in Preet Vihar, New Delhi. She had a large following on online platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and was popular for her videos showcasing her dancing skills, lip-syncing, comic strips and charming looks.
Dancing and travelling were her passionate hobbies.
She had over 116.4k followers on Instagram and 1.1 million followers on TikTok.
As per India Today report, her manager Arjun Sarin, who looked after her work and endorsements commented that her suicide must be due to a personal reason as her work was going well with a ‘song collaboration’ in the pipeline.
“This must be due to something personal…work wise she was doing well. I had a word with her last night for a new project and she sounded normal. Me and my company Fame Experts manage lots of artists and Siya was a bright talent. I am heading to her home in Preet Vihar.”
The exact reason for her death is unknown, since no suicide note was discovered. The investigation process by the police is underway.
