OMG! Did You Know Shah Rukh Khan Rejected THESE 6 Iconic Movies?

Being every woman’s dream hero, Shah Rukh Khan has also had his fair share of rejecting movies offered to him.

You’ll be shocked to find out that some of these iconic Bollywood films were first offered to King Khan but he had turned them down.

#1 Munna Bhai M.B.B.S

During the initial stages of the film being made, our very own Shah Rukh was cast as Munna bhai, the lead. Surprisingly, Sanjay Dutt was cast as Zaheer (later on played by Jimmy Shergill). However, Shah Rukh ended up falling sick forcing him to quit the film.

#2 3 Idiots

Rancho lives on to be one of our favourite Bollywood characters played by Aamir Khan. But did you know that Shah Rukh was the first person to be offered that role? SRK sadly couldn’t fit himself into the film as he had date issues and could not give his time.

#3 Ek Tha Tiger

We love Salman Khan as Tiger and the actor has delivered a smokin’ hot role in the franchise. However, this interesting role too was first offered to Shah Rukh Khan who unfortunately had issues with the date. At that time, Shah Rukh himself was completing a film with Ek Tha Tiger’s heroine – Katrina Kaif. The two were shooting for Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

#4 Jolly LLB

Jolly LLB is one of our favourite Arshad Warsi movies and now we can’t imagine this role being played by someone else. But yes, we’re thinking exactly what you’re thinking. The role of Jolly was first offered to Shah Rukh in the year 2012 but the actor had to decline as he was already shooting for two other films under YRF.

#5 Jodha Akbar

Jodha Akbar had us ogling at Hrithik Roshan for being such a stunner in the movie. But this movie too, like the others in this list was first offered to SRK. Shah Rukh’s reason for not accepting the movie will make you go all heart-eyes for him. King Khan says that he was not comfortable with the shooting locations and instead he wanted to stay near his family and spend time with them.

#6 Robot

Shocked? So were we when we found out. The iconic character of Chitti played by legendary actor Rajinikanthwas initially supposed to be played by Shah Rukh Khan. Red Chillies Entertainment, SRK’s production house, was supposed to be producing the film but Shankar (the director) and SRK had creative differences which resulted in the latter opting out of the project.
