Reportedly, the ‘Bang Bang’ director has adopted a baby boy who was found by the Borivali Railway police with several marks and bites on his body, at the station on 17th September last year. As the child’s biological mother was mentally unwell, the authorities handed over the baby to a CWC (Child Welfare Committee) in Mumbai.

Later, the child’s mother, who was found breastfeeding the baby, was admitted to the ‘Shraddha Rehabilitation Foundation’ in Karjat.

Then CWC, with the help of FSC (Family Service Centre), had put the baby up for adoption. It was Siddharth and his family who adopted the baby and soon grew an emotional attachment with him and vice versa.

As per Bollywood Hungama, the child’s mother, after showing good progress both physically and mentally in the rehab center, has started asking for her child. The rehab authorities have advised the Family Service Centre to hand over the child back to the mother.

A DNA test of the child and the mother, too, was done and it confirmed the biological relationship between the two.

At the first CWC hearing, on 1st December, Siddharth Anand was present along with his lawyer, a local politician, and a journalist. They, however, were told how the biological mother, who has completely recovered, has all the rights to get her child back.

However, CWC has asked the police to take the baby boy away from Siddharth Anand’s family and keep him in a government-run orphanage.

Meanwhile, the same night, the police officials reportedly took the custody of the child from the orphanage and handed him back to the filmmaker.

Seems like Siddharth and his family are ready to go to any length to make sure that they win the child’s custody. The rehab center, on the other hand, hopes to reunite the child with his biological mother soon.
