What Is ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’ Actor Partho Gupte Doing Now?

Child artist Partho Gupte, who is also filmmaker Amole Gupte’s son, made his Bollywood debut with the film Stanley Ka Dabba in 2011.

In conversation with TOI, Amole gives us interesting and quite congratulatory details.

Partho was last seen in one of his father’s directorials titled ‘Hawaa Hawaai’. Amole says, “Post these films, he didn’t take up any projects as an actor. By the time he finished Hawaa Hawaai, he made his first short film in 2016 as a filmmaker and then followed it with another short film in 2017. These two films are celebrated around the world.”

Adding that Partho is currently studying in one of the best film school in the US, Gupte praises his son, “I am mighty proud of him, because he stayed away from all the goodies that were flashed around him post Hawaa Hawaai. He knows that finally cinema is art school and not a commercial product.”

During his course, a script that Partho wrote was picked by the writer-director of Jurassic World, Colin Trevorrow. “He gave him the single grant award to shoot the film which went on to win awards,” says the proud father.
