It was recently reported that after his web debut with Raj and DK series, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in an Ali Abbas Zafar project.
The film is said to be a remake of a foreign thriller (not yet disclosed which) and will reportedly be shot in Abu Dhabi.
Buzz has already started as to who the top contender for the female lead might be. As per TOI report, Durgamati actress Bhumi Pednekar was spotted making rounds at Zafar’s office lately.
“Bhumi could be finalised soon. The makers are keen on casting her because she hasn’t worked with Shahid before, so their pairing will definitely be a fresh casting coup,” a source told the daily.
Bhumi, in the meanwhile, has wrapped up filming for ‘Rakshabandhan’ with Akshay Kumar. She also has ‘Badhaai Do’ (sequel to Badhaai Ho) and ‘Mr Lele’ with Vicky Kaushal.
