Sidharth Malhotra starrer Shershaah (biopic of Kargil war hero Vikram Batra) is gaining rave reviews from the audience.
Dharma Productions had bankrolled the project along with Kaash Entertainment. Now we hear, that KJO’s company is working on another patriotic movie!
As per Pinkvilla’s latest report, the creative team at Dharma is preparing a script on freedom fighter Usha Mehta!
A source told the portal – “Usha Mehta ran an underground pirate radio called Congress Radio during the Quit India Movement and gave tough time to the British Government.
Post-Independence, she was conferred with Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award of India. It’s a heroic story of an unsung hero and the creative team at Dharma has been working on this script for a while now.”
The film will be helmed by Kannan Iyer (of Ek Thi Daayan fame). KJO had also produced Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi before – this Usha Mehta biopic is allegedly going to be on similar lines. Currently, in the pre-production stage, the casting for the film is also underway.
Meanwhile, KJO recently announced ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead.
