It has brought to life the glorious sacrifice and valour of 1999 Kargil War Hero – Late Captain Vikram Batra.
The martyr was posthumously honoured with India’s highest and most prestigious gallantry award – Param Vir Chakra.
Sidharth’s fierce and honest portrayal of the soldier has been winning hearts while Kiara Advani’s Dimple Cheema act has made the audience teary. However, recently Shershaah producer Shabbir Boxwala dropped a fun fact about the movie that will leave you shooketh!
As per TOI report, Shabbir revealed that Salman Khan had actually approached him and recommended Aayush Sharma’s name for Shershaah. The Radhe actor had wanted the Vikram Batra biopic to be Aayush’s (who is Salman’s brother-in-law) debut film.
But the producer had then explained to Salman that Sidharth’s name was already pitched and they had carried forward talks with Vikram Batra’s family as well. Salman then relented, and even Aayush had said that playing a double role in his very first movie would have been difficult.
