Content King Ayushmann Khurrana is going to explore a more mainstream space with his next movie.
After Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan, Ayushmann will again feature in an Aanand L Rai production.
Titled Action Hero, the film is being co-produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series as well. Paatal Lok actor Jaideep Ahlawat has been roped in as the antagonist.
Anirudh Iyer Ganapathy, who’s assisted Aanand L Rai for Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015) and Zero will be making his directorial debut with Action Hero. The film will commence shooting in UK. Are you excited to see Ayushmann enter the action genre space?
“It’s set in the mainstream space but yet is very different from the regular masala action movies. Ayushmann is gradually trying to change his image and exploring different genres to prove his versatility as an actor, and this action film is going to be the starting point towards that. The actor will be seen in a distinct look in this film and will undergo rigorous physical training before its principal photography begins later this year. It’s Jaideep Ahlawat playing the villain and Ayushmann must build up to look believable against him,” a source told Peeping Moon.
Ayushmann’s next line-up of movies also includes – Doctor G, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui and Anek.
