This Raaj Shaandilyaa directorial, Dream Girl 2 movie, revolves around Ayushmann Khurranna who plays Karam, a small-town boy in love with the well-to-do lawyer Pari (Ananya Panday). He wants to get married to her but is drowning in debt and living in a derelict haveli. To allow their marriage, Pari’s father (Manoj Joshi) poses some heavy monetary conditions on Karam, adding to his financial stress. To make ends meet, Karam takes his talent of talking in a female voice to the next level and transforms completely into Pooja, posing as a bar dancer. One thing leads to another, and Karam as Pooja ends up getting married to a depressed Shahrukh Saleem (Abhishek Banerjee) while trying to keep his other identity a secret from Pari as well. After the release of Dream Girl 2 movie, Ayushmann Khurrana confessed how much he missed his late father. He reminisced that his father had a special fondness for his movie ‘Dream Girl’, and was extremely proud of his role in it. “He laughed his heart out while watching the film, and even predicted that it would be a roaring success. I wish he could have watched ‘Dream Girl 2’ as well,” he said.
