1- Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is an all-time hit but Rani Mukerji’s character in the film, Tina, is one of the most rejected roles. Along with Aishwarya Rai, Twinkle Khanna, Raveena, and Urmila, even Tabu has rejected that role.
2- Munnabhai MBBS
Bollywood’s comedy hit, Munnabhai MBBS, showed Gracy Singh play the female lead Chinki, however, this role was earlier offered to Tabu but she rejected it for unknown reasons.
3- Lajja
The multi-starrer film Lajja focused on societal issues but it failed at the box office. Tabu was offered the role played by Manisha Koirala but she declined to be a part of the movie.
4- Mann
Amir Khan starrer Mann had Manisha Koirala playing the leading lady but the director had actually made the role keeping Aishwarya Bachchan in mind. Since, Aishwarya rejected the role, the makers considered Tabu but unfortunately, she could not play the part because she was taller to Aamir Khan.
5- Badhaai Ho
Badhaai Ho was a superhit blockbuster and people loved this new angle. As much as we loved Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, you used be surprised to know that the first choice of the film was Tabu and Irrfan Khan. However, the actress rejected the role stating that she “looked like a woman who can still have a child.” Infact, it was Tabu that suggested Neena Gupta’s name for the role.
6- Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna
Tabu was offered the role of Rani Mukerji in Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna by Karan Johar but she rejected the role for reason that is unknown. We believe that Tabu would have definitely aced the role.
