Maharashtra Government To Build A Music Academy In Memory Of Lata Mangeshkar

Legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar passed away earlier this week at the age of 92 and has left a void in the Indian entertainment industry.

It was recently announced Maharashtra government will build a music academy in Mumbai for Lata Mangeshkar.

The academy will be built in the Kalina Campus of Mumbai University.

As per reports, earlier this week even the Madhya Pradesh government declared to set up a music academy and a museum in remembrance of veteran artist Lata Mangeshkar at her birthplace, Indore. A monument of the singer will also be established in Indore

The singer has had a special place in the industry and has won several awards for her music albums as well.

Not just this, but even a state award will be named after the late Lata Mangeshkar, which would be given to artists on the occasion of her birth anniversary.
