Anushka Sharma and brother Karnesh Sharma own the production company Clean Slate Filmz.
The duo is now launching Clean OTT, a female-oriented original content streaming platform!
The OTT will have both international and regional projects ranging from films, web series to docuseries.
Talking about Clean OTT, Karnesh said – “For centuries patriarchy has governed storytelling, and as a man, I have always felt men play an equal part in shifting the narrative, conversation, and power shifts.”
He further added, “It’s stereotypical when I hear people say women’s stories are just about oppression or fall into the romantic comedy genre. Female first content is in fact extremely exciting and eclectic.”
The launch will happen first in India early in 2023, and the business model is based on subscription video-on-demand. The subscription price hasn’t been announced yet.
On the acting front, Anushka will next be seen in Chakda Xpress which is a biopic of former Indian captain Jhulan Goswami.
