A shocking piece of news hit the headlines recently.
Nora Fatehi has filed a case against fellow actress Jacqueline Fernandez. She alleged that Fernandez has been defaming her for ‘malicious reasons’.
The common connection between both actresses is their involvement in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case. While Jacqueline’s status was made to be ‘an accused‘ in the matter, Fatehi is stated to be ‘a witness‘.
As per this Indian Express report, Nora has objected to Jacqueline’s written statement -which said that Fernandez was ‘falsely implicated’ by ED while Nora had been made witness, in spite of receiving gifts from the conman Sukesh.
Nora’s plea says that Jacqueline attempted to tarnish her reputation by unnecessarily dragging her name in the case.
“It is pertinent to mention herein that both the complainant (Nora Fatehi) and the accused (Jacqueline Fernandez) are actresses of foreign origin and both have had their share of struggles in rising to fame in the Indian film industry, hence, it is evident that the act of the accused in dragging the name of the complainant wherein she has no business mentioning the complainant is mala fide in nature,” said Fatehi’s plea.
