Movie Roles Where Alia Bhatt & Kriti Sanon Competed

Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon have shared the Best Actresses awards for their performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi respectively.

Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon won their first-ever National Film Award together. Previously, the actresses have competed against each other for a famous movie. Let’s find out more about this.

As per reports, it is believed that Kriti once said she had auditioned for Karan Johar’s movie Student Of The Year, released in 2012 with Alia Bhatt as the leading lady. Kriti Sanon was rejected for the role and says she has no hard feelings about the same.

Kriti Sanon appeared in an episode of Koffee with Karan 7 where she revealed how SOTY was her very first film audition. She mentioned that she was ill-prepared for the film and that she held no hard feelings toward the film’s lead, Alia Bhatt.

Apart from this, not many know that Alia Bhatt had rejected the movie Raabta which later starred Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput. However, the film did not do very well at the box office.

Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon may not have starred together in any movie but Kriti Sanon has done a dance number in Alia’s Kalank movie.

Reports say, in the award ceremony, Allu Arjun was named Best Actor for the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise. It is the first National Award for all three actors. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was awarded Best Film. Kriti’s Mimi co-star Pankaj Tripathi won Best Supporting Actor and Pallavi Joshi won Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Kashmir Files which also won Best Film on National Integration. Both Pankaj Tripathi and Pallavi Joshi have won special awards before.
