Deepika Padukone REACTS To Being Trolled For Her Statement On Koffee With Karan Season 8

Deepika Padukone appeared on the very first episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8 with her husband Ranveer Singh.

However, the actress faced a lot of backlash for her revelation of being in an open relationship with Ranveer Singh during her dating days.

Deepika was trolled massively after her statement Koffee With Karan. While discussing her relationship and marriage on the couch, Deepika said, “I wanted to be single for a while because I had come from difficult relationships. I was going through a phase where I said ‘I just don’t want to be attached, don’t want to be committed’. And I had fun! And then he came along, so I didn’t commit, until he proposed to me. There was no commitment as such. Even if we were technically allowed to see other people, we would just keep coming back to each other.”

As per reports, in an interview with Vogue, Deepika said “I don’t think twice about expressing myself.”

“When I feel really strongly or passionately about something, I don’t think twice about expressing myself. I’ve grown to become this person where I’m not afraid of speaking my truth or owning up to mistakes. I’m not afraid of saying sorry and I’m okay to be the only person in the room who has a different point of view“, Deepika told The Vogue.

In the same episode, Deepika and Ranveer revealed snippets from their wedding for the first time in 5 years. They received a lot of love of their wedding footage and looked so graceful together on the show as they twinned in black.

During the show, Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone also shared the dreamy proposal story which took place in the Maldives. He revealed that within just six months into their relationship, he already knew that she was ‘the one’.

The Koffee With Karan Season 8 also marked their first public appearance as a couple on Indian television.
