Sameer Wankhede Files Rs 2 Crore Defamation Suit Over Aryan Khan’s The Bads Of Bollywood!
It’s Aryan Khan vs Sameer Wankhede once again! Former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede is back in the headlines, and this time it’s not about raids or high-profile arrests. He has filed a defamation suit worth Rs 2 crore against Red Chillies Entertainment, the production company run by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan.
Sameer Wankhede Files Rs 2 Crore Defamation Suit Over Aryan Khan’s The Bads Of Bollywood!
The reason? Aryan Khan’s much-talked-about directorial debut series, The Ba**ds of Bollywood. According to Wankhede, the show has tarnished his reputation and painted him in an unfair, negative light.

The suit has been filed in the Delhi High Court, and interestingly, Wankhede isn’t keeping the money for himself. He’s demanded that if damages are awarded, the Rs 2 crore should go to Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital for the treatment of cancer patients. He has also dragged Netflix and others into the case, asking for an injunction to stop streaming and distribution of the series altogether.
Wankhede argues the series was deliberately designed to make him look bad, especially since his legal battles with Aryan Khan are still going on in the Bombay High Court and the NDPS Special Court in Mumbai. He also pointed out a particular sequence in the show where a character recites ‘Satyamev Jayate’ and then makes an obscene gesture, something he says damages not only his image but also the credibility of drug enforcement agencies.
Past Bribery Accusation:
But of course, there’s another side to the story. In May 2023, the CBI accused Wankhede himself of trying to extort Rs 25 crore from Shah Rukh Khan during the infamous cruise ship drug case involving Aryan. Wankhede has denied these allegations and called them politically motivated. He even cited his respectful text exchanges with SRK as proof that no extortion attempt was ever made.
So here we are again… law, Bollywood, and drama colliding in true filmi style. Whether this courtroom battle clears Wankhede’s name or sparks even more controversy, one thing is certain. This saga is far from over.
