Shahid Kapoor is reportedly all set to earn the largest fee of his career with Farzi Season 2.
According to media reports, the actor has been offered a staggering ₹45 crore for reprising his lead role in the sequel to the popular OTT series Farzi.
Usually, Shahid’s pay cheques hover around ₹25-30 crore per theatrical film, making this new arrangement a significant jump.
Farzi, directed by Raj & DK, debuted in 2023 to both critical and audience acclaim. The story follows a struggling artist who gets drawn into counterfeiting, leading to tense conflict with criminals and law enforcement. The first season featured names like Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna, and Bhuvan Arora.
Shooting for Farzi 2 is expected to begin in December 2025, with Raj & DK preparing pre-production post their ongoing commitments. The sequel is anticipated to release sometime in the second half of 2026.
This deal positions Shahid Kapoor strongly among Bollywood’s top-earners, especially in the OTT space where pay structures often differ from theatrical films. His jump to ₹45 crore signals how streaming platforms are valuing big stars for shows with broad reach and strong reputation.
As he works on Farzi 2, the buzz is also growing around his other projects — especially Arjun Ustara, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Audiences are now keeping eyes peeled not just for the show’s release, but the dialogues this new level of pay opens up in the industry.
