Directed by Suparn S Varma, Haq picked up pace over the weekend after a modest Friday. It earned ₹2.03 crore on Friday, ₹3.79 crore on Saturday, and ₹4.19 crore on Sunday, taking its India total to ₹10.01 crore. Adding overseas numbers, the film has crossed the ₹15 crore mark worldwide.

Haq Storyline; Movie Based On The Shah Bano Case
Haq tells the emotional story of Shazia Bano, played by Yami Gautam, a woman whose peaceful life is shattered when her husband Abbas (Emraan Hashmi) brings home a second wife. Once a happy wife and mother, Shazia suddenly finds herself betrayed and heartbroken.
Despite her pain, she tries to keep her family together, hoping things will improve. But when Abbas abandons her and their children, Shazia is forced to face a harsh reality on her own.
Determined to fight back, Shazia takes her husband to court for maintenance, turning her personal struggle into a national conversation. With the support of her fiery lawyer, played by Sheeba Chaddha, Shazia’s case soon becomes about more than just one woman’s rights.
