The timing made fans extra worried, especially since the director had just celebrated his 63rd birthday on February 24. Social media was buzzing with speculation, with many reports claiming he was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.

Naturally, panic spread fast. After all, when it comes to SLB, fans are emotionally invested not just in his films but in the man himself! But here’s the big relief everyone needed.

His family has officially shut down all rumours, confirming that there is absolutely no cause for concern. Their statement read –

“Mr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is doing absolutely fine. He has gone in for a routine medical check-up and there is no cause for concern. We sincerely appreciate the love, care, and concern shown by everyone.”

On the work front, SLB is fully focused on his much-awaited next film Love & War. The film boasts a powerhouse cast with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. Ranbir and Vicky will reportedly be seen as Air Force officers, which already has fans intrigued.

Interestingly, this marks Ranbir’s second collaboration with Bhansali after his debut film Saawariya. The film is now slated for an early 2027 release.
