Arnab Goswami, Republic TV’s Editor-in-Chief, spoke to Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend Siddharth Pithani in an interview this Friday, questioning him on the late actor’s mental health and the involvement of Rhea Chakraborty.
Siddharth Pithani apparently lived with Sushant for an entire year, including at the time of death. However, Pithani not only walked off in between the then on-going interview but also stated that he knew nothing of the actor and Rhea despite living in the same house.
“I gave him medications”
On being asked by Arnab whether or not Sushant had a major mental illness, Siddharth replied saying he didn’t know what to call it but that medications were involved.
“There was a psychiatrist involved and there was medication involved. There was a prescription, I gave the medication. I used to take two tablets (to give to Sushant). I have no idea (what tablets those are).”
When asked if the tablets were procured by Rhea Chakraborty, Siddharth replies affirmatively and then went on to say that they had a prescription. However, a few more questions into the interview, Pithani says Rhea ‘may have given’ the tablets to Sushant but she did not buy them personally.
Why did Rhea Chakraborty leave Sushant’s house?
Rhea Chakraborty apparently left the house on the 8th or 9th of June but Siddharth Pithani says he doesn’t know what happened between the two of them. On being asked why Rhea left the house suddenly, Pithani says, “I don’t know. They had a personal conversation. We were downstairs, they were upstairs. there were no means that we would know the conversation.”
Apparently Rhea also spoke to Pithani before leaving saying she was only a phone call away. “She spoke to me saying take care of him, I am just a phone call away. whenever you need me, call me. I’ll come back.”
Arnab Goswami also mentioned a party that had reportedly taken place between the 8th and 14th of June but Siddharth had declined it saying there was no party whatsoever.
Siddharth also mentioned that it was only Sushant’s sister apparenly who had visited the house between the 8th and the 14th.
