Veteran actor Govinda was discharged from a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday after being admitted following a fainting spell at his home the previous night.
Reportedly taken to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu for observation, the actor revealed the incident was a result of overwork and fatigue, rather than any long-term serious ailment.
As he exited the hospital, Govinda addressed the press with his trademark charm, saying, “I’m fine now. I just over-did the workouts and got fatigued.” He further added, “Yoga and prānāyāma are really good. Heavy exercise can be a bit much. I was trying to improve my personality, but I feel it’s better to stick to yoga and breathing exercises.”
His legal advisor confirmed that all his test reports were normal and that doctors had advised rest and a proper diet. The actor’s packed schedule and recent physical strain were cited as factors contributing to his fainting episode.
After leaving the hospital, Govinda appeared in good spirits — smiling and greeting media outside the facility. He also took the opportunity to thank his fans for their concern and confirmed he would be taking some time off to recuperate.
The actor’s experience underscores an important message: even those used to high-energy routines must listen to their bodies. As Govinda now shifts focus from intense workouts to more mindful practices such as yoga and prānāyāma, his fans will be watching his next steps closely. Meanwhile, the actor continues preparations for upcoming projects, albeit with a renewed emphasis on health and well-being.
