Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis tells the inspiring true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. The film marks the theatrical debut of Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan. After appearing in The Archies, Agastya now plays the brave 21-year-old soldier who continued fighting in the Battle of Basantar even after his tank was hit. His courage turned him into a national hero.
Dharmendra plays Khetarpal’s father and brings depth, warmth, and emotion to the role. The makers summed it up perfectly – “Fathers raise sons. Legends raise nations.” The film also introduces Simar Bhatia, who is Akshay Kumar’s niece, along with the powerful Jaideep Ahlawat.
