Kajol returns to the screen, much to the delight of her fans. The highly anticipated trailer of her upcoming film Maa was unveiled today at a grand launch event in the city.

Adding a personal touch to the occasion, their son Yug joined in to support his mother for the launch of Maa. The trailer packs a punch right from the start. It opens with Kajol behind the wheel, her daughter seated in the back. The two arrive at a mysterious, unfamiliar location, where things soon take a disturbing turn. While Ajay Devgn was seen shielding his on-screen daughter from R. Madhavan in Shaitaan, this time, Kajol steps into the role of a fierce protector—battling an eerie, supernatural force lurking within a tree to save her daughter.
Kajol takes center stage in the upcoming film Maa, marking her return to the big screen after a three-year hiatus. The film also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, Gopal Singh, and Surya Shikha Das in pivotal roles. Recently, Kajol shared that her role in the film is one of the most powerful she has ever portrayed. Ahead of the trailer release, she posted a heartfelt message: “When a mother breaks down, a goddess is born.”
Kajol’s upcoming film Maa is a supernatural horror drama directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Devgn Films. The movie is set to hit theatres on June 27, 2025. In addition to Hindi, Maa will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali, reaching a wider audience across regions.
The film Maa is connected to Shaitaan. R Madhavan played a negative role in the film Shaitaan. R Madhavan is also in a negative role in this film. However, there is no official confirmation of this yet. The film’s producer, Ajay Devgn, has also said that this film should not be connected to Shaitaan.
